Business Advisor
Hi All,
I’m looking for someone to help me with advice on scaling my business. I am a sole trader but it looks like I may need to take on contracted staff. Is there anyone in the network who knows a good business advisor?
Thanks!
Emma

@colette-gallagher @jo-tarnawskygmail-com @simonee do you have any business advisors in your network that you would recommend?.

@emma-hawkins not in your knick of the woods I don’t, but I will always happily jump on a call and workshop with you. I love that you’re growing and I particularly love that you’ve identified a sustainable market to go after!

Hi Emma
Thank you for your question! Yes, you can register for GST at any point but you must register if your business is making or tracking towards $75k revenue.
Claiming GST credits it available to Sole Traders and Companies but this is separate to business deductions in your tax return.
A tax deduction would be like your whole Xero…

Hi Bloom!
I’m wondering if you can discuss when a sole-trader should register for GST?
If the total revenue is under 75K is it worth registering? Also, can a sole-trader earning under that threshold still claim business expenses at tax time? Thanks!
